Jan 21, 2015· I''m no grinding expert, but a K hardness wheel sounds way too hard for hardened D2. A K hardness wheel is better suited for mild steel. I think this is why your wheel is not cutting. Try a G or H hardness wheel and see if it works any better. Also use a fast dress for roughing.
